The u-Japan policy has been proposed to realize the next-generation ICT
(Information and Communication Technology) society and the Ubiquitous society
in the year 2010. With the reformation of the judicial system and the expansion
of the intellectual property business toward the construction of the Knowledge
Economy and the Intellectual Property State in the 21st century, the Japanese
economy has plunged into a new development phase. On the other hand, in
this rapidly evolving business environment, the year 2007 issue or the
retirement of the nodule generation issue has come about.
In this situation, the need for “technology transfer” where the technique, skill, expertise and knowledge acquired from experience etc. are handed down and the engineers and researchers are transferred between industries, geographical locations and countries, is increasing. With the aim of resolving this issue and accomplishing these goals, JEF (Japan Engineers Federation) have been established to promote technology transfer and various technology transfer businesses by fully utilizing the technology transfer know-how that we have accumulated, and to expand the working opportunity for senior engineers and researchers.
JEF intends to conduct various activities with the objective of improving the status of engineers and researchers in Japan, promoting international exchange, and contributing to the activation of the industry.
